According to the official of China’s Securities Journal, as cited in the central bank by Governor Zhou Xiaouchuan, as China remained vulnerable to escalate inflation, the governor spoke that we do no exclude the possibility in increasing the interest rates.
He also said that even though the central bank adjusted its interest rates, the inflation will just eventually accelerate.
The Consumer Price Index of China is up to 3.4% yearly in May and its fastest growth records in months since 2006. This year for the first 5 months, there was a 2.9% up in the CPI yearly.
The economic growth is anticipated to slow down this 2nd quarter. He was not sure if there was a bubble in the stock market at mainland but he adds that the central bank is closely monitoring the developments in the stock market.
