Trade Surplus in China, $85.72B First Five Months

The trade surplus of China has already gone to $85.72 billion for the first five months this year, and increase to 80% yearly. As told by the Reuters News Agency, with reference from an official in the ministry.

Referring to the May trade surplus reaching $22.412 billion, data showing given by a commissioner in his speech in Shanghai.

For the first 5 months exports reached to $357.58 billion and imports is amounting to $357.58 billion

With such increase, China’s surplus can target $220 billion for the half of the year.

Yang said China steel exports in May dropped to 6.17 million tons from April's 7.16 million tons, according to the report

China's steel products exports rose 117% to 27.44 million tons in the first five months of the year, Yang said according to the report

Imports of steel products in China were 7.28 million tons in the first half of the year.

The Ministry officials in the news department could not be reached for their comments
