US Corn Plants Soared Up In the Market Pricings
 Posted on Jul-01-2007

To reach the pricings in the high market more corns had been planted by the US farmers this season, stirred by the demands for corn-based ethanol, as reported by the Department of Agriculture in US last Friday.

They committed an approximated 92.9 million of acres in corn – this is the most as of 1994 planting and higher in USDA’s initial calculation of 90.5 million acres.

In spite of a wet start than the normal planting season farmers had progressed fast at Corn Belt and Great Plains as the condition dried out.

An additional acreage of corn is in the expense of soybeans that plantings fall to 15% at 64.1 million acres. The fall has been greater than 11% and presenting the lowest planted area for soybeans.

The report has been expected by the cereal makers who used corns and grains in making their products and also to the meat producers, they need those grains for the feeds. Increased pricings of corn are due to the increasing demands of alternative fuel ethanol that are made from grains.

In the meantime, farmers had taken advantage already because of higher prices in planting corns, those of the other grains like soybeans, oats also increased in price.
